Welcome to Identity Coffees. Our flagship location is also our coffee roasterie. Visit us in our spacious 4400 sq foot space in Midtown Sacramento. We feature minimalist decor with live-wood slab tables and seating, concrete and metal details all custom made by co-owner Lucky Rodrigues and his closest kin.
Much love goes into our space and we are happy to share it with you. Our second location is our downtown cafe. This space was designed by co-owner Andy Rodriguez and his team with the help of some heavy machinery (including a 40 ton crane) to achieve the perfect balance of comfortable elegance. We opened our doors in December 2016 and have been busy serving great coffee ever since!
When it comes to coffee, we are passionate about quality. We source our coffee from the best farms and importers and take care to roast it to perfection. Our coffees are always fresh, and we offer a rotating selection of single origin coffees as well as unique blends. We also offer a variety of brewing methods, including pour over, Chemex, French press, and espresso.
We are also passionate about people. We believe that good coffee should be accessible to everyone, and we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive space for all. We are committed to using our platform to lift up voices that are often marginalized, and we work hard to create an environment where everyone feels welcome.
Through this website we want to connect customers with the stories of the coffee they are drinking. We believe that coffee is more than just a drink – it’s a way to connect with people and cultures around the world. We hope that our coffees will help you create your own connections and memories.
We also offer a wide range of services, from coffee catering to private events. We would love to work with you to create a custom coffee experience for your next event!
It all started when….
Lucky and Ryan got business married. They birthed a coffee company. It was a dream come true.
A few years later they had a second baby named Westside. Westside brought breakfast, lunch, and Happy Hour into the mix. It was a joyful occasion indeed.
Shortly after, Simpleton cafe came into the mix with records spinning, breakfast & lunch, house-made biscuits and massive burritos. Simpleton danced to the beat of its own drum.
The family has grown but it still retains the high-five vibes & wry humor of this duo. It has been their dream to share their vision of down-to-earth, quality spots with Sacramento where the only thing that matters are the things that matter. They are so stoked to be livin’ the dream….
